Fatima and the Sacred Heart

There are several similarities between the apparition of Our Lady at Fatima 100 years ago and Our Lord’s revelation of His Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary in the 17th Century.  In fact, both of these heavenly messages contain ardent pleas begging for reparation for sin, intercessory prayer for sinners, and greater honor towards Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.   Mother Mary Bosco shows the many parallels of these two apparitions, and explains how each of the children of Fatima fulfilled Heaven’s request in a very simple and imitable way.  In reflecting upon the lives of Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta, may we too follow in their footsteps and bring consolation to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts.
