This medal shows St. Camillus de Lellis, patron saint of the sick, nurses, doctors, and hospitals.  He wears the habit of his order, marked with a cross on the chest.  "Saint Camillus" is inscribed around the edge.  A former soldier who gave his life to caring for the sick, St. Camillus is a perfect patron for anyone who is ill or for those who care for the sick.
