Bishop Carroll explains that without humility we cannot become holy, for humility is the foundation and safeguard of all the virtues.  He presents to us St. Joseph as a model we can imitate in practicing humility and meekness.  Though greatly privileged, St. Joseph knew that he was nothing compared to God.  Let us examine our actions in comparison with St. Joseph’s and see where we can improve in practice of humility and meekness.
