Heaven, Hell, and Fatima

After giving a brief description of each of the apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima, and the events that led up to her coming, Father Carroll draws our attention to the July 13th apparition.  It was then that Our Lady caused the earth to be opened in order to show the children a vision of Hell.  Afterwards Our Lady explained, “You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go.  To save them God wants to establish throughout the world the devotion to my Immaculate Heart.”  In this conference Father describes the great mercy of Our Heavenly Mother in reminding us of the reality of Hell, and of the fact that there are consequences to all of our actions.  He encourages us to strive constantly to avoid sin and its occasions, and urges us to imitate Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta by praying and sacrificing for poor sinners to save them from Hell.
