Why is it that those who love Our Lord most, and are closest to Him, suffer the most? In this conference Mother Mary Bosco explains not only the meaning of suffering, but also its tremendous value. Mother discusses some common sufferings that we all have to endure, such as the difficulty of making ends meet, ill treatment from others, sickness, and little daily annoyances. She explains how the saints dealt with these same crosses, and she urges us to follow their example and ask for their help. When we come to understand the value of suffering, it will no longer be an object of dread, but a gift to be appreciated and even loved.
