In the life of St. Teresa of Avila, we can see how the thought of eternity assisted her to become the great saint that she is. St. Teresa once remarked, “Remember that thou hast one soul; that thou canst die but once; that thou hast but one life, which is short.” Using the words and example of St. Teresa, Mother Mary Bosco shows how the contemplation of Heaven, Purgatory, and Hell, eternity’s three doors, will be a motivation for us to avoid evil and do good, thus setting us well on the path to sanctity.
